Ingrid Fraser is native to California, born in Berkeley and a self taught baker. She has thirty years experience, primarily creating fine pastries, cakes and desserts for restaurants and in her own business: Ingrid Fraser Elegant Cakes. In the fifteen years since its inception, Ingrid has created hundreds of gorgeous delectable cakes for every occasion.
It is most assuredly Ingrid’s acute sensibilities of taste and her refined and discerning palate that make her combinations of flavors, textures and visual design come to life in a specialty, fine dessert or wedding cake. Ingrid held the position of pastry chef at the acclaimed, historic Imperial Hotel in Amador City, completed advanced training at the Culinary Institute of America in St. Helena, and has held numerous positions executing fine desserts and pastries throughout the Bay Area, including Oliveto’s in Oakland.
Ingrid holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Fine Art from the California College of the Arts in Oakland.
She now runs her own business, Ingrid Fraser Elegant Cakes, in Amador County where she lives with her husband, two dogs and cats surrounded by a big serene garden.
